Angels With Special Needs

We are happy to have you as a visitor to our website! We Have Come This Far By Faith "Angels With Special Needs" is a 501 (c)(3) non profit organization for children who have severe disabilities. We focus on providing the children inclusion into every facet of everyday life. The children our organization provides services to are wheelchair bound and require specialized care. I am the grandmother of a grandson who has a severe form of cerebral palsy therefore, I have first hand knowledge of the care required for a child who has special needs.

Description:
Our Mission is to promote awareness, inclusion and provide therapeutic programs/activities designed to challenge children with special needs mentally, stimulate their interest, maintain physical and social interaction with peers and others. Inclusion can show children and adults the value of accepting people for who they are and can demonstrate that children with severe disabilities are important individuals who can contribute to society. This contributes holistically to their physical, social, mental, and emotional well-being as children. Children with special needs who socialize alongside non-disabled children teach some really valuable lessons that everyone is different with unique strengths and weaknesses even disabled wheelchair-bound children. Other lessons include the art of patience, learning to accept individuals the way they are, and the importance of putting forth your best effort at all times.
Our Purpose is to enhance the quality of life for children who have severe disabilities and other chronic related conditions. We advocate for the rights of disabled children with developmental disabilities focusing on gaining them greater acceptance in everyday activities and events from which they might have been excluded in the past. The fulfillment of enriching the lives of children with special needs and their inclusion in every facet of society is our main objective.
