C. M. Tucker Nursing Care Center's mission is to provide excellence in resident care in an environment of concern and compassion that is respectful to others, adaptive to change and accountable for outcomes.

Description:
Medical Care

We employ fully licensed primary care physicians experienced in long-term care. A full nursing staff serves residents 24 hours a day, supervised by Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses. Our medical staff and nursing staff offers a broad range of experience, with particular emphasis in geriatric and rehabilitative services.

Rehabilitation Services

Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech and Hearing Services are available to all residents upon referral by their physician. Skilled therapy is provided by licensed professionals to facilitate the highest level of functioning in all areas of daily living. These services work together to provide comprehensive treatment for communication, feeding, self-care skills, functional mobility, self-concept, and environmental adaptation.

Residents enjoy a full range of recreational and therapeutic activities under the supervision of trained and certified therapists and are encouraged to lead full, active lives. Physical, emotional and social needs are incorporated into these programs.

Social Services and Pastoral Care

Licensed social workers offer counseling, assistance in obtaining financial benefits and other important services to residents and their families. The Pastoral Care Department employs full-time chaplains for residents and families who wish to participate in spiritual counseling.
