The mission of caring In Time of Sorrow is to provide compassionate care During Time of Sorrow and Bereavement. Our mission is to fellowship with those that are grieving, and assure them that someone care.

Description:
Caring In Time of Sorrow is to support the general public and other public charities and educational purposes related to the death and mourning of a loved one or significant other. The specific purpose of Caring In Time of Sorrow shall be:

• To provide sympathy and empathy to family friend, and loved ones in their time of sorrow.
• To provide supplementary financial support if available (such as travel and lodging expenses, etc.) 3)To provide inexpensive burial, or cremation expenses to low-income families with no financial resources available (insurance, liquid assets, etc.)
• To provide referrals and network of other providers to assist with ancillary needs, such as food and clothing.
• To advocate for the clients with the funeral homes.
• To provide supplementary financial support if available, such as travel and lodging expense.
  
  



History:
Caring In Time of Sorrow is a non-profit charitable organization in South Carolina. It is unique because there is not a program as such in South Carolina. Before organizing Caring In Time Of Sorrow, as a human service worker and a social work practioner, I have encountered many that did not have burial insurance for some reason or another. Some because they had pre-existing illness and the premium would have been to expensive. Some because they were born with some sort of illness, and others because they simply could not afford to pay for anything extra after paying their household expenses, medication and food for the month. After observing all of the families that I have assisted with the burial of a love one, Caring In Time of Sorrow was designed within my heart many years ago.
