Volunteer Opportunity Details:
We are looking for BIGS! Specifically, we are in need of Big Brothers to volunteer with youth in our community. Think of what you liked to do as a child, and how you can go back to that time for some fun with a Little every month. Go to the park. Teach them how to shoot a jump shot, or how to hit a 9 iron. Cook something, or just go out to eat. Watch a movie. Learn their favorite video game. Read the same book and talk about it. Encourage them in school. Our Bigs are friends to their Littles, and they act as mentors and positive role models. Bigs and Littles are asked to spend a minimum of four hours each month together, for at least 12 months. Bigs go through an enrollment process including orientation/training, interview, background and reference checks.
