Agency Details:
Arrowhead Ranch
Our mission is to motivate youth at-risk to become productive and responsible young men and women by providing the highest quality counseling, education and social services to youth and their families.
Description:
Arrowhead Ranch was founded in 1945 to serve youth at-risk in a residential setting. In addition to our core residential program located in Coal Valley, we also provide aftercare services for youth transitioning back into their home communities and community outreach programs. Most residents are placed at Arrowhead by the court system; others are referred by their school district or by their families. The average length of stay is between 9-12 months. Arrowhead residents go to school on grounds with teachers from the Moline school district. Upon completion of the program, youth usually return to their homes and transition back into their respective schools. Youth leaving Arrowhead with their GED typically enroll in community college or join the workforce. Community service is a key component of our program; we believe that giving back to our community and helping others builds character.
History:
We were established in 1945 as a residential treatment facility for young men at-risk. In 2004 we began to serve girls in the same capacity. We are a private not-for-profit treatment facility. We serve youth between the ages on 12 and 21. We primarily service youth in a 200 mile radius in Illinois, and can accept private placements from anywhere in the United States.
