The Oakwood Center is a non-profit, community based behavioral health care facility accredited by the Joint Commission and Non-Profits First.
We are staffed by interdisciplinary teams of licensed psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical social workers, mental health counselors, certified addictions professionals and other disciplines
A private, not-for-profit 501(c)(3)charitable organization that serves without regard to race, religion, ethnicity, national origin, age, sex, gender orientation,disability or economic status.
Accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, Medicare Certified Psychiatric Hospital, State Licensed, Center for Non-Profit Excellence Certified.

History:
The Oakwood Center was incorporated in 1966 as the 45th St. Mental Health Center. It began offering comprehensive mental health services in 1970 when it's 45th St facility opened. The Center changed it's name to the Oakwood Center of the Palm Beaches, Inc. in 2001. It offers a wide variety of community-based mental health treatment services.
