To enable people of all faiths to work together to identify needs, to collaborate with community groups and to assist in creating solutions for those members in our community who are in need.

Description:
The programs of C.R.O.S. include the Caring Kitchen, a hot meal program in Delray Beach which serves lunch Monday - Friday from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and dinners on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. We also deliver meals to those who are home bound on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and two bagged lunches are given out for Saturday and Sunday. The goals of the Caring Kitchen are to serve the hungry, to build a sense of community across diverse age, economic, religious & racial groups and to help those who are able to become self-sufficient. Our emergency food pantries are located in Delray Beach, Lake Worth and Riviera Beach. Half of the people receiving food from the pantries are children.

Four summer camping opportunities are offered to children from families with low incomes, throughout Palm Beach county. C.R.O.S. camps provide a safe and nurturing environment where children learn more about God's love. The Hurricane Recovery program is providing case management to families, and helping re-build homes that were affected by the hurricanes of 2004 & 2005. Through the Gleaning Program, over 150,000 pounds of fresh produce was harvested during the 2006-2007 gleaning season, and distributed to agencies who feed the hungry.

Over 1,000 children and youth receive gifts each year through the Christmas gift giving program. Many volunteer and staff hours are also put into advocacy activities around health and human service issues.

History:
C.R.O.S. Ministries, an ecumenical ministry serving Palm Beach County began in 1978. C.R.O.S. works with over 90 congregations and groups throughout Palm Beach County and about 600 volunteers. We are supported by congregations, businesses, individuals and also receive some funding from foundations.
