Yesteryear Village
The mission of Yesteyear Village is to promote the preservation and appreciation of early life in Florida, helping bring the past alive.
Description:
Florida's rich history...in your own backyard! Yesteryear Village is a living history museum nestled on five acres complete with 30 buildings, ponds, and swamps. Our buildings include a one room school, a "shotgun" style home, a blacksmith shop, and a real, working sawmill. Step back in time where the past comes alive!
History:
In 1990, the South Florida Fair recognized the need to preserve the history of early Florida. The result was the birth of Yesteryear Village. The first building received on the fairgrounds was the 1935 Loxahatchee Groves Schoolhouse. In the following years, we have acquired additional buildings and expanded our perimeters.
