Gilda's Club South Florida
To provide emotional, social and educational support to ANYONE touched by cancer.
Description:
We are a FREE non-profit support community for Men, Women, Children and their families living with Cancer. The members can attend Workshops, Lectures and Social Activities. Members who come to Gilda's Club may have any type of cancer and at any time of their diagnosis. We have a house in Fort Lauderdale and have been here in Florida since 1997. The first club was opened in 1991 in New York with Joanne Bull and Gene Wilder, Gilda's husband. Gilda Radner was a comedian who was on SNL and died of Ovarian Cancer.
History:
We have 22 clubs opened around the world and 8 more to open. We have a Worldwide organization in NY.
