Grant Writer Needed

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on November 4, 2009

The Women's Circle is greatly in need of a grant writer to research grant opportunities, make applications, and craft proposals. We depend solely on grants in order to provide services for the low-income women who seek our help. Thanks to a grant we recently received for remuneration for our computer class instructor, one of our students learned enough to be hired as a police officer. Another student in our crochet class, whose teacher is funded by a grant, made her first "throw" covering and was able to sell it for a substantial sum.
Our coordinator has been trying to write grants and at the same time coordinate the entire program. We desperately need your assistance. As a grant writer you will help to improve the lives of our disadvantaged women and enjoy the satisfaction that comes from giving generously of yourself.

Some training and experience in grant writing is desirable, but not essential.
