Grandma's Kitchen engages seniors in teaching food preparation and nutrition skills at the West Riviera Beach and Pahokee Beacon Centers to children in those afterschool programs. The courses will focus on teaching healthier ways of preparing customary recipes and controlling portion size. The Seniors or "Grandma's" will be providing the instruction in a comfortable, familiar and trusting environment. Six to eight "Grandma's are needed at each site and will be paid a small stipend.
