Description:
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County is a guidance-based organization for youth ranging from Kindergarten to 12th grade. Programs are designed to provide reinforcement of the skills and concepts that are being developed in school with programs that are age specific. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County offers a broad range of after school programs in five core areas: Character and Leadership Development; Education and Career Development; Fine Arts; Health and Life Skills; and Sports Fitness, and Recreation. Annual membership is $25.00 and financial assistance is available for those who qualify.
History:
Kidstop is a before and after school child care program offered in a partnership with the local schools providing child care at five school sites in Porter County-Flint Lake, Northview (also serves Memorial) Central, Parkview, Thomas Jefferson, Union Center & Simatovich. Daily Kidstop programming is offered at the South Haven Boys and Girls Club to serve students from South Haven and Paul Saylor Elementary. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County has provided a positive and safe after school environment for youth since 1971.
