The women that are currently living or have lived at the Shelter for Domestic Violence are dependent on their cars (many are older models) for employment. Many do not have the monetary resources for regular car maintenance, and it would be of great help for a volunteer to educate our clients on basic car care and routine maintenance.

We are having a walk to raise funds for the disabled on Aug 8, 2009 at Creek Ridge County Park. We need volunteers at the sign- up table, to hand out shirts to walkers, set-up and take down. We will provide lunch. This is a great opportunity to mix in the community and make new friends.
