Volunteer Opportunity Details:

First Motion is a new non-profit organization founded by three men who want to make a difference in their community. Our goal is to provide growth opportunities to adolescent youth in the areas of physical fitness, educational achievement, and charitable giving. We have developed a one-year program incorporating each of these opportunities on a quarterly basis, culminating with a "class project" in the last quarter.
Our goal is to launch our first class of 10 kids in October, 2009. Estimated costs for the full one-year program for each child is $4,000.00. We will provide a break-down of these expenditures upon request.
Storm McNeil is our head of fund raising and grant writer. He is looking for a mentor, that is our volunteer opportunity.

This particular opportunity is open to everyone and anyone who is willing to help me become an expert in reaching out to the public and raising capital to first sustain our program and then to make it flourish.
My process of just "knocking on doors" does not seem to be effective. I have not acted in this capacity before so it obvious I need some help. Thanks
