To inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need it most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.

Description:
The Carpinteria Boys & Girls Club is a facilities based after-school program providing educational and recreational activities for youth ages 5-18. We have a Games Room, a Resource (computer/homework)Room, an Arts & Crafts Room, a Teen Center, a Gym, and a (separate) After-school Day Care Center. The Club provides a variety of programming including the Smart Moves Program (making intelligent decisions in today's society) The Power Hour (tutoring/homework help), along with college admissions instruction and help, field trips, special events and speakers, etc.

History:
The Carpinteria Boys & Girls Club conforms to the structure and policies set down by The Boys & Girls Club of America. The Carpinteria Boys & Girls Club started out as the Carpinteria Boys Club in 1967. In 1993 the club became co-ed. Currently the Club boasts 1,200 members living in the Carpinteria Valley.

Directions:
 Take Highway 101 south from Santa Barbara, take Linden Ave exit. turn left (back over the Highway-towards the mountains) drive to the end (1+ miles), where you must turn left, go one block until you see Carpinteria High School parking lot--the Boys & Girls Club is across the street from the high school.
  Nearest Bus Stop: Maple and Carpinteria Ave, 20-25 minute walk
