HELP of Carpinteria ia an all volunteer nonprofit organization that provides transportation to Carpinteria residents who have no other means of transportation.

Description:
HELP is a door-to-door transportation service that will take you anywhere in Carpinteria for any reason, including shopping, banking, doctor and hair appointments, the senior lunch program, and social visits. The requested donation for a roundtrip ride is $1.00. HELP will take you to Santa Barbara for doctor appointments and social services only. The suggested donation for a roundtrip ride to Santa Barbara is $6.00.

History:
HELP of Carpinteria was incorporated in 1988, and was modeled after HELP of Ojai (these organizations are not affiliated). Since then, an office has been provided in the recreation room at Shepard Place Apartments through the generosity of Michael Towbes.
