The Santa Barbara Brazilian Carnival is a Cultural Carnival project focus in the dissemination of the Brazilian Culture in the Central Coast and the Santa Barbara and Ventura County communities.

Description:
The concept of the Annual SB Brazilian Carnival is to bring the culture of Brazil as a whole, showing more than music & dance including educational information about the country, culinary experience and sport activities. Our goal is to create the perfect fusion between the Brazilian eclectic music, the exotic dance moves, the delicious cuisine, the entire country’s passion for soccer and the unique creativity and style of their people. The idea is to promote Brazilian culture among the Santa Barbara and California Central Coast population bring awareness of the largest country south of the border and the 3rd biggest Latino community in U.S. of over 1 million Brazilians.

History:
Born in Nov 2003, the Carnival Project had in his first annual event in February 2004 a massive media cover. After the first year, we keep our dream of better approach the Brazilian Culture to the community and in 2006 we started the format of a Festival including a soccer game and a film screen in the program. The Carnival SB will become a Non-Profit organization still in 2009.
