Volunteer Opportunity Details:

We are a small, friendly office in need of help in our reception area. You would be sitting at the front desk greeting people who come in, giving out information, or getting them to the right person in our office. You would be responsible for answering our phones and directing calls (it's an easy system) and might be asked to do some simple special projects and to help keep the reception area neat and clean. This is a slow paced, low key position and is great for someone who likes being around people. No computer knowledge is required.

As a volunteer in this position, you are the first person people see when they come in so it's important that you be able to make them feel comfortable and safe. It's also important that you are nonjudgmental and open to people who might seem different.

Confidentiality is a must. Training is informal and ongoing but you would be required to attend some formal trainings (2x year is the norm).
