United Way's annual Day of Caring is a fun way to act on our interest and willingness to care for the needs of the Santa Barbara Community. Local charities partner to support this wonderful community event, during which over 1,000 volunteers will work at over  charity sites throughout south Santa Barbara County.

From 8am-1pm, you can help local charitable organizations accomplish projects such as painting, cleaning, yard work, sorting and organizing, that they would otherwise struggle to complete this year, due to limited time and resources. Day of Caring volunteers provide the community over $150,000 of benefit.

There are tasks to suit all ages and abilities at a variety of locations. Come and help positively shape your community, get connected with non-profits and help those in need, while having fun with friends, family, and co-workers!

To participate, you can join or create a team from work. Many Santa Barbara businesses support Day of Caring, so at your next staff meeting, ask if your workplace will be registering a team this year to participate in this wonderful team-building experience. You can also register from home as a family team, or as an individual.

For more information, or to register, log on to: www.unitedwaysb.org/dayofcaring or contact Alissa Zimmerman at United Way. Ph: 805.965.8591 ext 133 or email azimmerman@unitedwaysb.org.
