Description:
Imagine Children's Museum provides a safe, enriching and fun learning environment. Hands-on interactive exhibits and programs encourage children to imagine, create, discover and explore at their own natural progression. Opportunities abound for adults to become active participants in a child's learning. The Museum aspires to capture the magic of childhood. It is a world where curiosities are unleashed, adventure abounds and laughter fills the air. A place where fun begins and learning never ends!

History:
The Children's Museum was created in 1991 as the result of an informal needs assessment conducted by the Children's Commission. The assessment reflected a clear need for fun, educational venues where Snohomish County children and families can interact. The Museum opened its doors to the public in 1993 at a location in the Marysville Mall. It moved to its former location on Colby Avenue in Everett in 1995 after a lease was negotiated with the City of Everett. In October 2004 the new, expanded Imagine Children's Museum opened at 1502 Wall Street.

Imagine Children's Museum 5 Overall Experience    Experience rating
very rewarding - children clearly enjoy their experience

I have volunteered two days a week for over a year at the Imagine Children's Museum. The staff has been very supportive and are completely committed to providing a meaningful experience for each child. The experience has been very rewarding to me - seeing the smiles and excitement in childrens' faces makes my day - every day.
