History:
In 1997 the Community Resources Foundation was created as a nonprofit community organization to assume the work begun by Deaconess Children's Services in July 1992 to create a community/family center. The Foundation is operated by a board of directors and currently employs an executive director, 3 staff, plus many volunteers.

From the time the Stanwood Camano Community Resource Center opened its doors, it has served as a link between community members and organization serving the community. The center actively provides assistance and training programs to youth and families, engages in activities targeted toward building a strong support network for the community.

The Foundations accomplishments over the years have been to maintain a vital presence in the community while preserving valuable relationship with our public schools, area churches and other social service agencies.
