The ART of Leadership Foundation's mission is to inspire vision and leadership in young people, giving them the skills to succeed in their lives and to be leaders in their communities.

Description:
The ART of Leadership Foundation ('ALF') works with young people from pre-teen through the completion of high school to inspire vision and leadership, giving them the skills to succeed in their lives and be leaders in their communities. Since the teen years are so critical to a young person's development and eventual attitudes about life, ALF takes an active approach to supporting them through these formative years. Our students learn, from an early age, that they CAN create an inspiring vision for the future for themselves and for the community and that they CAN take action to see that vision come true. ALF participants quickly see that many people believe in the same core values and have the same ideals for their community, but seldom do people (even adults) realize that they have the ability and opportunity to ACT on them.

The ART of Leadership Foundation is currently working with students throughout the City of Detroit, as well as Lansing and Kalamazoo, Michigan. It is our goal to bring the ART of Leadership program to as many young people as possible, breeding an energized and talented new corps of leaders for a better tomorrow.
