The Hero we're looking for is...YOU! The mission of the Army Volunteer Corps is to meet the needs of the community by expanding and improving volunteer services, while providing valuable experiences to the volunteers.
Description:
Volunteers are typical everyday heroes making a world of difference! The Army Volunteer Corps invites civilians, military personnel and their Families, and retirees to participate in the volunteer program. A variety of opportunities are available, and the volunteer is encouraged to assist in the creation of meaningful and productive roles. Please note that the all volunteers who do not possess an active military identification card must obtain a favorable background clearance through the Volunteer Program Manager prior to service.
History:
Army Community Services (ACS) was developed to improve the quality of life for Service Members and their Families. ACS provides a flexible framework for the operation of social services and each program is adapted to meet the needs of the local military community.
