The mission of Macomb Family Services is to enhance the health and well-being of others, and promote social and personal change by providing a wide range of family-related counseling, residential, and home/community-based services to the residents of Macomb County and surrounding communities. We are dedicated to designing, developing and implementing superior programs that will improve the quality of life for individuals, families and the community.

Description:
Macomb Family Services offers a wide range of services which includes: substance abuse and mental health treatment, prevention services, parenting classes, and senior citizen services.

Volunteers are needed for our Senior Homemaking Program. This program is looking for volunteers to assist Senior Citizens with everyday household chores, meal making, errand running, grocery shopping, friendly visiting and/or taking them to their doctor's appointment. We service seniors all over Northern Macomb County (16 Mile and northward). You can help a senior who lives near your home or work. This program is run out of our Romeo office.

Volunteers are also needed to help coordinate our fundraising efforts. Responsibilities would include contacting vendors, maintaining records, ticket sales, and publicity. If this is of interest to you, please contact Nancy Jenuwine at njenuwine@mfsonline.org.

History:
Macomb Family Services has been improving the quality of life for individuals, families and the community since 1957. In 1999, the agency merged with Community Human Services. MFS has four offices located in Clinton Township, Shelby Township, Richmond and Romeo.
