Our active Community Friends group meets regularly to plan and implement vital projects around the shelter including facilities improvements and providing enhancements for our programs. The Friends also play a key role in organizing and coordinating our donations programs. And they have fun! Work days are scheduled weekly. Qualifications for all volunteers: • Never having battered a partner or abused a child • Commitment to ending violence against women and children • Commitment to ending oppression and improving organizational response to under-served populations • Commitment to positive organizational culture that is non-judgmental of survivors and their children and that promotes safety, justice, and autonomy for survivors. • Reliability, responsibility and an ability to follow through on tasks

SafeHouse Center is the second driveway on the right. Go to the lower left entrance. From Ypsilanti: Same as Ann Arbor, but at the intersection of Washtenaw and Carpenter, turn right onto Hogback.
