Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on August 18, 2009

At Intense Mentoring, we help young women ages 16 and up who have dropped out of high school complete their secondary education through individual mentoring, bi-weekly support meetings, and access to educational providers.

We are looking for one person to be our program coordinator. From the point an organization makes a commitment to Intense Mentoring, you will work with them to manage their generous contribution, whether it be an in-kind donation (e.g., clothing for the women’s children) or a component of our program (e.g., an event the women will attend). This dynamic role will give you exposure to people managing our program, our board, and our generous donors.

The commitment averages to about three hours per week. If you enjoy working with great people and have a desire to make a difference in our young women’s lives, sign up today!

You should be able to work well with other people, have great organizational skills, have basic computer and internet skills, have a stable telephone number, have a valid driver's license, and be at least 21 years old. We prefer you have some experience working with nonprofit organizations in the past. Your participation is contingent on a background check.
