Needed are volunteers who can roll up their sleeves and assist us in maintaining a large community center on Detroit's eastside. The Center was built in the 1925 and needs tender loving care. If you can paint, wash,change light bulbs, clean toilets, make minor or major repairs, climb ladders, plant grass, pick up trash, move furniture, wash windows, mow grass, build furniture, plant trees/flowers, dig, ...we can use you. The Center is 3 floors, 60,000 square feet and home to 50+ community organizations. Training is not necessary. There are no limitations.  This opportunity is sponsored by: THE CENTER

just wanted to comment that Mt. Zion was my church and I hope that the buildings are being put to good use. It was heartbreaking to leave in 1997 as my family had been members of Mr. Zion Church since the early 20's. posted on February 16, 2009 |
