Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on August 6, 2009 |
Each year, the Ann Arbor YMCA raises funds for scholarships and programs that enable kids to go to summer camps, take part in sports programs, take part in community service projects and develop life and leadership skills. We need YMCA members and program participants who are passionate about helping the YMCA solicit donations and create opportunities for all kids - regardless of income - participate in programs that help build their self-esteem. Volunteers need to attend Strong Kids campaigner training in mid-February 2010, where they learn about the YMCA's case for community support, how to identify and cultivate prospective donors, and how to ask for and successfully obtain donations. Campaigning starts in March 2010 and ends during the first week of April 2010. This opportunity is sponsored by: Ann Arbor YMCA
