Holiday Meals on Wheels for Seniors Holiday Opportunity Focus: Basic Needs
Powered by Truist

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on September 26, 2009

Volunteers are needed for Thanksgiving Day (November 26) and Christmas Day (December 25) to deliver meals to homebound senior citizens on Detroit's east side. For many seniors, this is their only meal for these holidays. Each volunteer (or group) will only need to deliver 5 to 10 meals. It takes less then 1 hour of your time but is very rewarding. Lets no not forget our elders. This is a easy way to help. This event is sponsored by the Detroit Area Agency on Aging and Matrix Human Services.

just wanted to comment that Mt. Zion was my church and I hope that the buildings are being put to good use. It was heartbreaking to leave in 1997 as my family had been members of Mr. Zion Church since the early 20's.
