Southern New Mexico Society for HR Management
Mission: The mission of the Chapter shall be education: (1) to improve the competence of human resources professionals and student Chapter members; (2) to raise the standards of performance in all phases of human resources; (3) to have members adhere to the Code of Ethics of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) which is adopted herein as the Chapter Code of Ethics; (4) to promote better understanding of good human resources management in the public and private sectors; (5) to develop the relationship between educators and employers in improving student skills needed to succeed in the workplace; and, (6) to advocate for clarification and revisions to federal, state, and local employment laws in the spirit of improving the workplace.
Description:
Meeting are held monthly on the 2nd Thursday of each month except September at 11:30 am - 1:00 p.m. at the DACC Workforce Center 2345 E Nevada. Cost is $12.00. You must RSVP see website for RSVP details www.mysnmshrm.org
History:
Southern New Mexico SHRM was established in 1979 with 34 members and has grown to over 100 members throughout Southern New Mexico. In 2002, the chapter members approved the organization to be converted to a 100% SHRM affiliated chapter.
