We strive to encourage and promote greater appreciation and knowledge of the historical and cultural heritage of souther New Mexico.
The Society meets on the third Thursday of the month, with the exception of June July and August, and December.There is no cost to attend.We have a Banquette for Members only in January. Membership costs $20.00 for single members and $25 Dollars for couples.
We meet at Good Samaritan Village Stucky Auditorium downstairs in the main activities building.
History:
DACHS was formed in September of 1963, primarily to save Fort Selden from further deterioration.
Our annual awards recognize and encourage the preservation of historical properties, recognize people that have contributed to historical preservation, and buildings that reflect historical styles.
