Family Pride Foundation
To provide at risk youth with treatment foster care (TFC) parents equipped with the skills and knowledge required to address their physical, emotional, behavioral and medical needs.
Description:
Family Pride provides a setting where "At-Risk Youth" have the opportunity to receive treatment and care in a home with a family. While in treatment they receive support, care and guidance to prepare them to transition back to their homes, schools and communities. About the Population We Serve: Children and Adolescents with a diagnosed emotional and/or behavioral disorder Children and adolescents discharging from an institutional care facility Between the ages of 3 & 21 years Involved with Children Youth & Families Department and/or the Juvenile Justice System About Our Families: The treatment parents who provide this service are very special people. They share their home, families and resources with youth from varying walks of life who come to them with a wide range of challenges. Professional Treatment Parents work as team members with community care providers, the Children Youth & Families Department, the Juvenile Justice System, natural families and the Family Pride staff. This community team approach assists the youth and their families to acquire the tools they need for successful reintegration into a home, schools and community, or to emancipate with the goal of independent living.

Family Pride Foundation began in 1997 to meet and serve a transition and reintegration need in our community.
