Tresco, Inc. is a not for profit organization established in 1968 to provide support for people with differing abilities to reach their potential and realize their dreams.

Description:
Tresco provides support for individuals through the following services:
TOTS - A program providing development support for 0 to 3 year old children in Southern New Mexico.
EMPLOYMENT SERVICES - Tresco works with numerous employers in Las Cruces and Southern New Mexico to provide jobs for those with differing abilities.
COMMUNITY LIVING - Tresco provides support for those with differing abilities who live in the community through living assistance and community involvement.

History:
Tresco was founded in 1968 originally as the Open Door Center. The Socorro/Sierra Learning Services was founded in 1974.
By 1971 Open Door was serving 39 clients and a paid staff of 5. In 1977 Open Door moved to 2325 Nevada, the present location of the TOTS program.
As the organization grow and services expanded the two organizations merged in 1982 creating a three county program under one administration. The name "Tresco" was derived from "tres condados", three counties.
Since 1982 Tresco has not only expanded it's services but maintained a reputation for quality services and leadership in providing those services.
