Description:
SCORE,Counselors to America's Small Business, counsel small and prospective businesses on a free and confidential basis. We describe the successful business process to a client and work with them to prepare a business plan to help aid in the securing of capital and managing the business. We participate with the SBDC in offering seminars for budding entrepreneurs in the area of Business Plans, Finances and Marketing. Seminars are also given for established businesses in the areas of insurance, delegation, survival and sales training.
History:
SCORE is a national organization that was founded in 1964. There are presently around 1100 chapters and 12,000 volunteers nationally. Services are provide on a face to face basis as well as over the Internet. The Las Cruces Chapter has over 20 members, three of whom are fluent in Spanish.
