Bridge Ministries, Inc.
Bridge Ministries, Inc. provides opportunities through which individuals and families in Dona Ana County and surrounding areas can receive Christian Counseling for individuals, couples and families, Caring Bridge Friendship Services for the Mentally Ill, and Campus Ministry for students of NMSU. History:
A Short History of the Bridge Ministries, Inc. Our Ministry came into being some date prior to the Fall of 1945 as the 'Young People's Westminster Fellowship' at the First Presbyterian Church in Las Cruces providing 'services for the trainees at the college and other visiting servicemen as well as activities for the new students at the college' (then called New Mexico A & M). This outreach to NMSU has always been the Core of our Ministry's Mission and Vision. In 2000, three of the ministries below (Presbyterian Campus Ministry, Christian Counseling, & Caring Bridge) became the BRIDGE Ministries, Inc., an Umbrella Christian Based Not for Profit Corporation. In 2001, a fourth ministry was created, the Community Ministry. The need for this ministry arose when we were awarded contracts from funding sources that did not fit within the missions of the other three Ministries. All four of our Ministries rely heavily on volunteer NMSU student interns and other Volunteers from our communities to provide these valuable services to the people of Dona Ana County and the surrounding areas. Our Mission is to continue to be a A Bridge of Faith and Healing Over a River of Doubt and Pain For all the people of NMSU and Southern New Mexico
