Description:
The Center for Grief Services provides counseling to adults, children and families who have been impacted by a death or life-altering loss; including community-wide education and training on loss and the grief process; and outreach and support to organizations and schools regarding grief and loss issues. Our program provides a place of comfort to learn about and process your experience of loss. We do this by providing support groups, individual grief counseling, professional training and conferences on grief and loss issues, community memorial services, annual day camps for children, and a grief and loss lending library.
History:
The Center for Grief Services was started in September of 1999 by the Mesilla Valley Hospice in order to provide grief services to the full community, regardless of hospice involvement.
