The La Pinon Victim Advocate provides: Information and Referral, Emotional Support, Service linkage to victims and their families, Aid to our community educators in presentations or outreach event concerning agency services, Participation agency fund-raisers and community events, Staff the Kid Talk warmline, Serve as an advocate for the victim with law enforcement and the medical community.
Must: be 18 years of age, have the ability to work with diverse individuals and groups, be caring, be supportive and non-judgemental, work in a client driver environment as part of a first response team, have access to a car. Advocates must successfully complete a 40-hour training on sexual assault issues and first response crisis intervention.
