Volunteer Opportunity Details:

We welcome scholarly research related to Camino Real de Tierra Adentro. For a list of potential research topics, please e-mail Jean Fulton, Executive Director, CARTA at jeanfulton@earthlink.net.

Selected articles will be published in our quarterly Chronicles of the Trail journal.

Your research may be used to interpret sites to the public, to develop heritage tourism trails and loop tours, and for use in classroom instruction.

Ideally, primary and secondary resources will be consulted during the course of your research. We would expect our volunteers to adhere to the highest standards of scholarly research.

Our office is located inside the Southwest Environmental Center. It is located at the southeast corner of Water and Las Cruces streets, across from the LC Visitor's Center and El Paso Electric.   Nearest Bus Stop: Several downtown stops, 1 or 2 blocks minute walk
