Family Wellness Program
General Information
Agency:  Strengthening Families Initiative
Program name: Family Wellness Program
Description : Family classes on practical skills based on proven principles that strengthen, uphold and empower individuals, couples and families. English and Spanish classes available.

Twelve core sessions focusing on:
Effective Parenting
Healthy Family Functioning
Positive Couple Relationships

Each session is organized to demonstrate and then to practice the skills using role play, coaching and activities. Class series encourage maximum participation and integration of relationship skills.
-Intensive family relationship education.
-Classes offered at various times and locations.
-Classes meet 2 1/2 hours per session for twelve weeks.
-Classes offered in Spanish and English.
-Programming for the younger children runs simultaneously with the parents’ program.

Older children (8 yrs. and above) participate with their parents in the parenting focused class sessions and attend the children’s program during the sessions that focus on adult couple relationships
Hours of Operation: Class times will vary.
Eligibility Requirements: Only requirement is to be a parent.
Intake Procedure: Registration required.
Insurance Information: Funding for the Family Wellness Program is provided by a grant (#90-FE0135) from the Office of Family Assistance, Administration for Children and Families.
