|
Project Linus |
| Description : |
|
Make blankets for children! Blankets can be crocheted or knitted afghans, flannel receiving blankets, quilts, or fleece throws. They cannot be store bought, but must be made with love by a volunteer. Blankets must be washable, clean, and free from any odors. They cannot have buttons or other hazardous trim. Pastels for babies or bright child friendly designs are appealing. Project Linus gives blankets to children from new born babies through teenagers, so your blanket size can range from tiny to twin bed size.
Drop off points are the Bernina Sewing Center, Sew What's New, Unravel, and Organ Mountain Quilt Shop.
Individuals, clubs and groups are welcome to participate on a one-time or continuing basis. Please call Dayle Sillerud, Chapter Coordinator, at 532-4602 for more information.
There is a Las Cruces child who is sick, in crisis, or otherwise needy who would love to have a blanket made by YOU! |
