The Foster Grandparent Program provides individual support for children in the Las Cruces, Gadsden, and Hatch School Districts. Special emphasis is placed in helping children to learn English. The Foster Grandparent can provide individual attention that students might not otherwise receive, confidence from your faith in them, tutoring to help them succeed in school, the advice and life skills they need to lead productive lives, and the life changing opportunity to know the consistent love of a Foster Grandparent. |

| Eligibility Requirements: |
|
Foster Grandparents must be 60 years of age and can volunteer an average of 20 hours a week and have limited income and love children. Foster Grandparents must also receive a pre-service orientation and monthly training, an annual physical examination, supplemental insurance, a small stipend for those who qualify, help with meal and transportation costs, and the joy of knowing your making a difference for children. |
