Description : Mission: The mission of the Chapter shall be education:
(1) to improve the competence of human resources professionals and student Chapter members;
(2) to raise the standards of performance in all phases of human resources;
(3) to have members adhere to the Code of Ethics of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) which is adopted herein as the Chapter Code of Ethics;
(4) to promote better understanding of good human resources management in the public and private sectors;
(5) to develop the relationship between educators and employers in improving student skills needed to succeed in the workplace; and,
(6) to advocate for clarification and revisions to federal, state, and local employment laws in the spirit of improving the workplace.

Who can join? The chapter is open to anyone involved in the Human Resources Field and provides human resource professionals with up-to-date information relevant to the field through newsletters, monthly meetings and an annual employment law update conference.
