As part of the singe family home ownership service component , pre-purchase counseling id the critical key to the low mortgage default record. Homebuyer clients are required to complete an average of 8 hours for pre-purchase education and training. After home is purchased, Tierra del Sol staff provides post purchase counseling and homeownership training. |

Homebuyers clients are required to complete an average of 8 hours for pre-purchase education and training. At the completion of the required courses the home buyer education certificate will be given that meets the requirements for most lenders. |
| Intake Procedure: |

The classes are design to help home buyers on preparing for the purchase of a home and become knowledgeable on down payment assistance programs, as well as all the other cost related to acquistion of new home. |
| Insurance Information: |

For Self-Help program, Families need to purchase a Builders Risk Ins. After home is complete the insurance required is a homeowner insurance. |
