The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) is a federally funded program managed by the Department of Children, Youth and Families under the Family Nutrition Bureau through CAA-SNM. The program provides cash reimbursement to day care providers who care for children and disabled adults in their homes. This reimbursement is for the nutritious meals served to children and adults by the care providers. A secondary goal of the Food Program is to teach children healthy nutrition habits. These habits will follow children into adulthood. |

| Eligibility Requirements: |
|
Providers can be:
• Anyone who cares for children or disabled adults in their home and provides them with meals and snacks.
• Home day care providers who are at least 18 years of age
Participants can be:
• Children from birth to 12 years of age
• There is no are requirement for physically or mentally disabled persons
• Depending on income, provider’s children may also qualify. |
