LV-DAC works closely with Adult Basic Education. We offer tutoring for adults who have literacy skills at the most basic levels. Our program primarily serves:
Students who speak English but read and write at less than the sixth grade level, and:
ESL students who had less than six grade English language skills. |

All Students who come to LV-DAC take a pre-test to determine their level. LV-DAC matches eligible students with trained volunteer literacy tutors. A student meets her/his tutor for 2-4 hours a week, and together they work on the educational goals that the student has identified. Our tutoring services are free, and student information is kept confidential.
