Agency Details:
Idaho Youth Ranch
For 55 years, the Idaho Youth Ranch has helped children and families in Idaho secure a valued, responsible and productive future. Through programs for at-risk youth that focus on the special needs and strengths of the individual, we help children and teens find the hope, vision, courage and will to succeed.
Description:
Idaho Youth Ranch residential programs serve youth who suffer with substance abuse and who are victims of abuse, neglect and other traumatic experiences. We also provide immediate shelter and support for youth in crisis. The Idaho Youth Ranch operates residential group homes for youth that include: The Ranch in Rupert, Discovery House in Nampa, Anchor House in Coeur d'Alene and Hays Shelter Home in Boise. Using Functional Family Therapy--a nationally-recognized therapy model--we strive to reunite and strengthen families through effective parenting and communication. Emphasizing the importance of family, the Idaho Youth Ranch prepares new parents for adoptive placement; and recruits and trains foster parents to promote the well-being of children in foster care.
History:
The Youth Ranch, founded in 1953, is a nonprofit, licensed and accredited provider of residential treatment services for at-risk youth.
