Description:
Working with kids ages 6-18, a Boys & Girls Club provides a positive, safe place for kids to learn and grow. Staff members provide exciting programs and activities in the Arts, Sports Fitness and Recreation, Education and Career Development, Health and Life Skills, and Character and Leadership Development.
History:
Meridian Boys & Girls Club, 911 North Meridian Road on the corner of Meridian and Pine. Opening it's first Clubhouse in Meridian on April 22nd, 2003, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Ada County now serves over 1,800 members at the Meridian Club. The 11,000 square foot facility includes a games room, Multipurpose/eating area, technology lab, art studio and education center as well as a seperate teen area. We are next door to Meridian Elementary school to better serve the title one schools in our district. With strong community partnerships, the Club is developing into a staple of the Meridian community.

Those Children Touched My Heart and Made Me Smlie

I began volounterring there completly by chance. i was actually looking for a summer job and i ended up volounteering there. i sepent every day this summer there the most i oculd. i learned so much form those children and they tought me so much about myself that i never could have imagined. i changed that summmer. and i hope to return to meridian and see everyone. posted by NP Cheerleader on September 15, 2005 |
