Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on October 27, 2009 |
Family Hospice is searching for volunteers who can provide non-medical support for patients and families in their homes. Volunteers serve as an important part of our interdisciplinary service team. You can make a difference by helping ensure that a patient experiences comfort during his/her final days. Volunteers should have the ability to listen and respond to people’s needs, the ability to respect a variety of beliefs about the end of life and the ability to record and report relevant information. Volunteers are prepared for their hospice experience by a training course provided by Family Hospice. We also offer ongoing opportunities for in-service training as volunteers desire to learn more about a specific subject.
