Habitat is continually building safe, decent and affordable homes for low-income families in Wayne County. We are currently building on Franklin and Stephens Streets in Goldsboro. All volunteers over 16 years of age can come out to the site on Tuesday, Thursdays and Saturdays from 8am-3pm. Our biggest day is Saturday and if you come on Saturday lunch will be provided. Habitat will provide the tools and the knowledge all you have to do is be willing to learn! If you would like to schedule a group please give the Habitat Staff a call at 919-736-9592. Our goal is to have a safe work site. Volunteers need to be aware of the risks inherent in construction and participate in safe activities according to skill level and experience. Anyone 16 years of age and older may come out to the worksite at any time. If you have a group of youth younger then 16 years of age please give us a call at 736-9592 to discuss a time that they would be able to come.
