Join familes across America as they reach out to others that can use an extra hand. Familes take a moment away from their busy lives to work together, have fun, while helping someone in a meaningful way. Just some ideas that are easy to do are: Rake leaves for an elderly neighbor, collect canned goods for food pantries, or spend time with someone who is lonely. For more project ideas you can download the Family Volunteer Day Guidebook from www.FamilyVolunteerDay. The Guidebook contains everything an organization may need to successfully create a Family Volunteer Day project. We recommend contacting  Volunteer Wayne/RSVP for partnerships or resources. Any organization that wants to mobilize its volunteers as part of this national effort is welcome to do so.
